EQUAL JUSTICE COALITION: BE A HATE FIGHTER! MULTIPLE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED NOW!
BE ALL YOU CAN BE! VOLUNTEER TODAY FOR YOUR OWN RIGHTS! Topeka City Council elections are coming up next month (Tuesday, April 1, 2003) and we've got a lot of opposition running against our fair-minded candidates. You can help by volunteering to go around the different neighborhoods encouraging people to register to vote, to vote for our candidates, and to get people to put up yard signs and by helping with mailings. It's a lot fun and even more so if you can get some friends to do it with you. Contact me today if you are interested.
YOUTH COALITION: Youth Activism Right Here in Topeka
The leaders of the local gay/straight alliances (GSAs) have recently come together to form a new coalition for youth. It's your way to become more involved in the community and ensure that the voices of our generation are better heard. Meetings for March will be on the 11th and 25th, 4 pm, at the TAP offices. Let me know if you are interested in attending before you go please.
STEY Meetings
We have exciting meetings lined up in the next couple of weeks.
Important Notice about meeting on March 19: I will be out of town (on Spring Break, yea!) so I will be finding someone to meet you all at the Fox White Lakes Movie Theater. The first eleven people will get in free and you should meet there between 6:45 and 7.
Other meetings: good discussion nights, and Show & Tell Night (your choice of what you want to share, as long as it's not pornographic).
PROJECT EQUAL - WASHBURN UNIVERSITY'S GAY/STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
GENERAL MEETINGS: This month we're focusing on planning the Day of Silence Project, set to happen on April 9, 2003
TUES, MAR. 11, 6 pm. Washburn University, Henderson 210. Representatives from Unity Coalition at Washburn and Hot Pink GARBAGE (Girls And Rad Boys Acting for Gender Evolution) will join us to plan for the Day of Silence.
THUR, MAR. 27, 8 pm. Movie Night, cosponsored by Project Equal, Unity Coalition at Washburn, and Hot Pink GARBAGE (Girls And Rad Boys Acting for Gender Evolution). Movie TBA.
