MON, FEB. 3rd, 7-9 pm - Join us at Washburn University in Henderson Room 207 for a general meeting to find out what we can do to ensure equality and justice for all in Topeka. We'll discuss the committees that have formed within the organization, and how you can do your part as a volunteer.

NATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN TASK FORCE (NGLTF) Representatives are coming to T-town! They want to interview people interested in ensuring equal justice in Topeka. They'll be interviewing people during the first couple of weeks in February in order to do a community assessment of where our strengths and needs are. If you would like to be interviewed, let me know (email) or call 232-3100.

BE ALL YOU CAN BE! VOLUNTEER TODAY FOR YOUR OWN RIGHTS! I'm in charge of getting tons of volunteers around in the next couple of weeks and I need your help! Topeka City Council elections are coming up in the next couple of months (primary in February, general in April) and we've got a lot of opposition running against the people who do care about everyone's rights. You can help by volunteering to go around the different neighborhoods encouraging people to register to vote, to vote for our candidates, and to get people to put up yard signs. It's a lot fun and even more so if you can get some friends to do it with you. Contact me today if you are interested.

YOUTH COALITION: Youth Activism Right Here in Topeka

The leaders of the local gay/straight alliances (GSAs) have recently come together to form a new coalition for youth. It's your way to become more involved in the community and ensure that the voices of our generation are better heard. Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 4 pm, at the TAP offices. Let me know if you are interested in attending before you go please.

 STEY Meetings

We have a couple of exciting meetings lined up in the next couple of weeks.

Community Night: Join us for movies at the Fox White Lakes Movie Theaters, on Croix between Topeka Blvd. and Kansas Ave. Meet me there around 6:45 and the first 11 people get in free.

Discussion: Our intern will lead the meeting focusing on National Condom Week. Bring your condom skills with you!

Guest Speaker: Jalisa will share a little about her life and surely enlighten us with her charismatic spirit.

That's not good! We should have the right to make love to whoever we want, especially if the other person feels the same way, right? Join us if you care.
