EQUAL JUSTICE COALITION: GET OUT THE VOTE!! Tuesday, April 1, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Topeka City Council elections are this month (Tuesday, April 1, 2003) and we've got a lot of opposition running against our fair-minded candidates. If you are old enough to vote, are registered to vote, and your City Council district is up for election, GET OUT AND VOTE. Send me an email if you need to know who is good to vote for.

THE DAY OF SILENCE: Using Silence as Activism. Wednesday, April 9, 2003.

Each participating school will work through the day as they have decided. Then, we will come together in the evening at Washburn for a community-wide Breaking the Silence rally. TOPEKA AIDS PROJECT 3RD ANNUAL RED RIBBON WALK

SATURDAY, APRIL 19 (Time and location TBA soon)

Get on your sneakers and come out to help raise some money for the Topeka AIDS Project. For now, feel free to call TAP at 232-3100 (ask for Ludy) for more information.

YOUTH COALITION: Youth Activism Right Here in Topeka

The leaders of the local gay/straight alliances (GSAs) have recently come together to form a new coalition for youth. It's your way to become more involved in the community and ensure that the voices of our generation are better heard. Meetings for April will be on the 1st and 8th (we will determine other meetings after the Day of Silence on the 9th), 4 pm, at the TAP offices. Let me know if you are interested in attending before you go please.

 PROJECT EQUAL - WASHBURN UNIVERSITY'S GAY/STRAIGHT ALLIANCE

TUES, APR. 8, 6 pm. Washburn University, Henderson 210. It's time for Travis to move on, so if you are interested in taking over Project Equal, come on over and consider being elected to office. It's a lot of fun and I'm leaving you with a lot of resources (and my email address in case you need help in the future). Go for it!

THUR, APR. 25, 8 pm. Movie Night, cosponsored by Project Equal, Unity Coalition at Washburn, and Hot Pink GARBAGE (Girls And Rad Boys Acting for Gender Evolution). Movie and location TBA.
