The first oral PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) for HIV was approved by the FDA in July 2012. This slide set explains what PrEP is and how effective it is at preventing new HIV infections. The slides also discuss opportunities and challenges in getting people on PrEP and shares resources for further exploration.

I developed this slide set over the course of my time working at the Good Samaritan Project as the HIV Prevention Program Director from 2014 to 2017. Many groups and organizations requested this presentation including community planning groups, medical providers, and Planned Parenthood for their annual sexual and reproductive health conferences.
